Anand Vishwa Gurukul & Junior College proudly conducts the National Service Scheme (NSS) for Junior College students with the aim of developing social responsibility, leadership qualities, and a spirit of selfless service among the youth. Students are encouraged to join NSS and actively participate in community welfare activities for their overall personality development.
The NSS unit of Anand Vishwa Gurukul has consistently demonstrated dedication towards social causes through various initiatives such as cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, health awareness programs, blood donation camps, environmental conservation activities, and community outreach projects. It indeed makes us proud to witness the enthusiasm, commitment, and sense of responsibility displayed by our NSS volunteers as they strive to create a positive impact on society and contribute towards nation-building.
NSS(National Service Scheme) INTRODUCTION
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a public service program launched by the Government of India on 24th September 1969 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It aims to develop the personality and character of students through community service and social responsibility.
The motto of NSS is “Not Me, But You,” which reflects the spirit of selfless service and concern for the welfare of society. NSS provides students with opportunities to participate in various social, environmental, health, and educational activities that contribute to the development of communities.
Through NSS, volunteers engage in activities such as cleanliness drives, tree plantation, blood donation camps, awareness programs, disaster management support, and rural development initiatives. These activities help students develop leadership qualities, teamwork, discipline, and a sense of civic responsibility.
The primary objective of NSS is to create socially responsible citizens who actively contribute to nation-building while gaining practical experience and personal growth through community service.
